Welcome

Welcome to my Cardiac Imaging website.

This was the site of the old Cardiac Radiology Group, which has evolved into the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (http://www.bsci.org.uk)

I have kept a few of the site's Interesting Cases for you to view, and some more of them form a small Quiz (get seven right to be called an expert!); if you want you can download a larger quiz in Powerpoint form which is quite a large file at 18Mb.

The "Seminal Cases" are a few anecdotes about cases that have influenced my thinking. The "Stamp Collection" contains some rare pathologies. "Make your name" is a bit tongue in cheek. "Antiques" contains some golden oldies. I hope these four sections will provide some entertainment for all levels of experience.

The Presentations are aimed at radiologists who are developing an interest in cardiac imaging. They cover the basics of cardiac embryology, malformations, and physiology, to a level that I have found sufficient for a cardiac imager.

"Left Ventricular Function" is a personal view on the mechnisms of left ventricular contraction. "Left Ventricular Anatomy" leads to a review of the imaging planes of the left ventricle.

My sincere thanks to my daughter Heather for constructing this website.
