Image 2 is a contrasted CT of the central pulmonary arteries showing a lot of mural thrombus. Note the hypertrophy of the right ventricle (star). A cut lower down (image 3) shows a more central defect in a basal artery, looking more like an embolus (and perhaps it was). A VQ scan was performed (next page)
