The V/Q scan shows moderate irregularity of the perfusion image and normal ventilation. This is more consistent with reactive pulmonary hypertension (PH) than thromboembolic. The scan was done for haemoptysis, and although a small pulmonary infarct would be a good cause for it, a subsequent bronchial angiogram showed hypertrophied vessels and after I had embolised them (image 5) the haemoptysis stopped.
