Now that we can use a nominal 9.6% for outer rim shortening as a surrogate for 15% mid-wall shortening in our standard ventricle, a much simpler set of calculations can be made, and now the model automatically caters for the hydraulic effect being spread across the wall.

These calculations are to be found in the spreadsheet "outer.xls" which you can click to download here,. I will not go into great detail here, but the sequence starts with the calculation of the diastolic and systolic outer rims (OCd and OCs) and uses volume substitution in systole to arrive at the systolic volumes, much like the first half of the initial model.
