
This patient was though initially to have a tumour of the right atrium, but it was soon clear from the echo that the large mass was attached to the end of a Hickman line, which is just visible in the SVC. When it failed to respond to anti-coagulation, it was resected and was found to be a crystalline mass of the drug being given down the line. It was apomorphine, the patient having Parkinson's disease.
